Visiting

Our parish warmly invites you to join us for services, classes, and events. We consider hospitality to be a high Christian calling and value every person God brings through our doors, whether as a visitor or a new member.

First-time visitors are encouraged to contact Father John in advance by phone or email if they wish to learn about our parish before attending. This can be particularly helpful for those who have not attended a Divine Liturgy before. Father John's contact information can be found on our home page. Alternatively, we have a group of parishioners assigned to greet visitors when they arrive and help them get situated. If you would like a service book, or information about our parish, or about Orthodoxy generally, they are happy to help. And Father John may come out of the altar to introduce himself and say a word of welcome as well!

First-time visitors may also like to read a little in advance about Orthodox worship and decorum within a typical temple such as ours. They can do that by clicking here.

On Sundays, the Divine Liturgy is followed by a coffee hour and pot-luck meal. Visitors are warmly invited to stay for this happy time of conversation and fellowship, which for some parishioners can last until mid-afternoon. During this time our children attend a half-hour church school, and visitors are welcome to have their children attend as well. Children can also enjoy our fenced playground (or indoor play area) while parents have time to relax, talk, and peruse our bookstore.

Those who would like to leave contact information can do so by signing our guest registry at the back of the church, or asking one of our greeters for a form to fill out. Father John will then be able to contact you and, if you would like, place your name on our mailing list. In the meantime, you can sign up to receive our parish newsletter electronically by filling out the form at the bottom of our home page.
