Regrettably unknown to many in our American culture today, the life of the Orthodox Church has been carried through the centuries since the time of Christ by those who have dedicated their lives to dignifying and sanctifying our world—the Saints.

The lecture series below was delivered over the Summer of 2024 by Father John Strickland—rector at St. Elizabeth parish and scholar of Church history—on the lives of these incredible men and women, how they provide inspiration for us today in our modern world, and how they continue to sanctify our world through the life of Jesus Christ.

The Saints featured in the lecture series below are also among those soon to be depicted in a new iconographical program on the ceiling of St. Elizabeth parish. Our hope in presenting the lectures below is not only to shine a spotlight on the lives of these incredible men and women, but also to serve as a resource for present and future parishioners, inquirers, and guests who will soon be able to view, venerate, and find inspiration in their holy icons at our parish.
